Dear God...

It was the first day of summer... It was a monkey bar tragedy... one where his arm was the only victim. Two months he suffered with this handicap. The consequences were too much for any little boy to bare. A bread bag over his arm during nightime baths, plastic sleeves, water proof tape... but the worst part was the smell. The smell of his stinky hand, which his mother always cleaned with a wipee after bathtime... it didn't always help.
This morning, after 9 weeks, he was finally FREE! You know why? BECAUSE OF GOD!
He resorted to prayer in the doctor's office... an attempt he had never made before.
"Dear God... please let my arm be better and let the doctor take off the cast... I miss you so much... Amen!" Apparently God doesn't come visit him very often.
I knew things were desperate when he's invoking the Lord, but the Lord listened! I explained later that it's not nice to ask God for things without thanking him... to which he put his little cast free hands back together, looked up at the ceiling of the car and said "Dear God! Thank you because now I can go to the beach. Amen!"
This kid has some serious priorities.
